Hi, I’m Emi (she/her)
I’m a Bachelor of Health Science qualified Naturopath and my passion lies in periods.
Yep, periods.
Like most of you, I grew up thinking PMS and period pain are ‘normal’ and ‘just a part of having periods’.
I’m here to change that.
In 2016, after years of painful periods, mood swings & gut issues - I was at my breaking point.
I was feeling frustrated by my constant hormonal imbalances & gut issues, and really questioning if there was any real solution out there for me other than the Pill and heavy painkillers. I was desperate for relief (like, yesterday) but unsure if healing was even possible because I felt like I’d tried everything.
I’d jumped between diets, self-prescribed supplements and everything I’d read in my late-night google searches but nothing seemed to bring me lasting relief from my hormonal and gut woes.
I felt like I’d barely get one ‘normal’ week per month - feeling like I was in a perpetual cycle of PMS & mood swings, followed by the excruciating period pain and heavy bleeding that took over my life.
It started to affect my relationships and my ability to be a good friend, sister and partner.
I began to isolate myself from my friends and family, as it felt like no one could relate to the depth of what I was going through.
I felt like a failure as I couldn’t commit to any plans incase I would have to cancel due to my gut flaring, period pain or intense mood changes.
I began to feel completely alienated from my own body - it’s as if I couldn’t even read her signs and cues anymore.
I mean, I felt like I was doing all the right things, I was eating healthy & exercising well - what was I missing?
I felt deeply alone on my hormonal rollercoaster.
All my tests & ultrasounds kept coming back ‘normal’, AND even though I knew deep down something wasn’t quite right, I’d lost all hope that life and my health could feel easy at all…
Despite being dismissed by many medical professionals who said, “This is just part of having a period,” I refused to accept that. I believed my symptoms were all connected, and I was determined to find someone who would dig deeper.
I mean, was I really condemned to being victim to my hormones & pharmaceutical drugs that felt like they were just a band-aid solution, for the rest of my life?
That’s when I found my Naturopath.
My Naturopath guided me every step of the way. She heard and validated my concerns and gave me hope that I really wasn’t condemned to being victim to my hormones & gut my entire life.
She pieced my entire health puzzle together and explained exactly what was going on in my body & why I’d felt the way I’d felt for so long (game changing).
She referred me to the right practitioners who supported me in getting a Endometriosis diagnosis via laparoscopy.
Over our time together, she guided me in a way that ensured I no longer felt overwhelmed by the conflicting information online or frustrated by the trial-and-error approaches.
Together, we made small but meaningful changes to my diet & lifestyle that fit into my hectic life & schedule. On top of that, she prescribed bespoke herbal medicine completely individualised to my body’s needs that ended up saving me tonnes of money on self-prescribed supplements (that weren’t really doing anything anyway).
No major overhauls, no unrealistic restrictions…just smart, tailored, individualised advice.
Within the first month, I was feeling more energised throughout the day (bye-bye constant fatigue and brain fog - yay!), my mood had begun to stabilise & my chronic bloating had started to decrease.
Then, I finally got through a cycle without being taken down by my PMS. Soon my once-debilitating period pain and heavy bleeding became manageable, and my constant bloating became a thing of the past.
For the first time in years, I no longer felt like I was living in a body that was working against me. I had clarity, confidence, and control over my health.
Most importantly, I finally felt like myself again—without relying on pharmaceuticals to mask my symptoms.
I promised myself that when I figured out how to heal my hormones and body that I would dedicate myself to helping others do the same.
Now I am a clinical Naturopath on a mission to help more women and AFABs feel good in their bodies and hormones.
I do this by helping you in a way that feels easy, fun and right for you, without needing to overhaul your diet and lifestyle or spend a million dollars on things that don’t work long-term.
I predominantly treat Endometriosis/Adenomyosis, PCO/PCOS, irregular periods, preconception/fertility support, support coming off the Pill, thyroid conditions and IBS/SIBO.
Using individualised diet, lifestyle, nutrients & herbs, I work with clients to bring their body back into health.
My role is to walk alongside you, guiding you to achieve your health goals.
I have a highly collaborative approach to my consultation processes. I am a practitioner who is on your ‘team’ and wants to see you thrive.
My priority is making sure you feel heard and supported along your journey.
